Continuum is an Autumn Winter collection inspired by the works of Constructivist sculptor Naum Gabo. The sculptures of Gabo serve as a representation of the fourth dimension using string to represent time as movement. This collection is based on the breakdown and study of these sculptures serving as its own visual interpretation of the fourth dimension.
The collection focuses on the interaction between form and the body, with each garment twisting around and forming continuous looping pieces, playing with proportions and angles. The use of experimental pattern cutting creates a fluidity to the pieces juxtaposed by tailored elements and a methodical string motif which features heavily throughout the collection.
The six-piece collection is sustainably made with deadstock materials, and circular fabrics. Made with zero resource consumption, zero emissions, zero disposal and minimal energy usage.
