REMINISCENCE

REMINISCENCE is a collection inspired by Anita’s childhood when she was living in a refugee camp in Nepal. This collection is very close to her heart.  The aim of this collection is to convey the different feelings she felt as a refugee. The silhouettes in this collection are inspired by activities of daily life such as going to school, playing, working, etc. The design details in all garments are taken from the type of garments worn in the camp such as pleated school uniforms, draped saree, and shawls. She created embroideries in this collection consisting of memories from the refugee camp. Every embroidery piece contains of flowers, houses, mangoes, and the different shapes of vines. Her life in a refugee camp is a part of Anita that she would like to remember through REMINISCENCE.
