‘This collection is inspired by a dream in which the designer crashed a car into a lake. Shape was found through draping based on the twisting and turning one faces in sleep, often resulting in gathered and bunched up bed sheets.
The use of white and transparent materials represents the landscape of her dreamland in an attempt to bring it into reality.
The application of the white 100% cotton links to the crispness of fresh bed sheets and the often erratic but clouded nature of one’s dreams.
A restrictive element found in the harness embodies the impact of the crash within the dream offering protection like a seatbelt.’
