Impermanence is a collection inspired by the fragility of life.
A flower is no less beautiful just because it dies, the great love is not less than just because it ends. This collection acts as an embodiment of life, energy and celebration. Nature artists who explore similar themes of ephemeral art acted as secondary sources for this collection. The sculptural curves and wrapping elements of the collection were inspired by willow sculptures created by Patrick Dougherty. The fleeting beauty of the sun setting on the ocean is captured through the colours while the texture captures energy and life and focused on an ephemeral art piece by Andy Goldsworthy to guide me towards this raw energy. Using biodegradable fabrics of deadstock wool, linen and culpro lining has created a natural collection which will eventually break down and continue its new role in the circle of life. Nothing is supposed to last forever, not even this collection.
