STOP AND SMELL THE THROMBROSES
This collection is an exploration of the history of my late grandfather’s life. Recalling my few memories that I have of him and contrasting them with things that I have learned about his life and his time in the navy. Using traditional naval crafts to create a connection that I did not get to have, looking at his family. Using harsh shapes to represent the truth and soft, organic shapes to contrast these and represent my dreamlike memories. I want to create a collection that displays hard truths but also shows beauty in melancholy.
