My collection is inspired by the complex journey of depression and how it can affect the mind and the emotions of an individual. As a result of depression, the mind deconstructs itself, throwing emotions and rational thinking into a chaotic silence that many people do not see.

I used creative pattern cutting, layering and deconstruction to highlight the descent into chaotic silence caused by depression. The collection is both chaotic and calm, revealing the back and forth struggle within the mind as it attempts to repair itself. I have combined both dry and silky fabrics to show the conflicting emotions within the mind and the struggle an individual goes through on the journey to positive mental health.
