SKANDERBEG

Skanderbeg” symbolizes the strength and drive to reach the impossible. The concept behind the collection is the journey following the rise of George Castriot also known as Skanderbeg, inspiring the thoughtful and strategic ways in which the fabric has been cut. I was inspired to create clean and structured design style lines from the key foundations of the crown including power, strength, and perseverance. The fabrics delicately chosen to convey his emotions throughout his life include organza silk, brocade, leather, double-sided thin neoprene/denim, and tarlatan. To illustrate his strong perseverance, haute couture hand sewing techniques have been applied including the 3D pieces exemplifying the power and victory that Skanderbeg had succeeded by the end of his life.
