“Any Chance of a Feek, Love?”
My work is influenced by Baz Luhrman’s film adaption of Romeo + Juliet, the language used in the Shakespearean play, the 1998 film “Dangerous Beauty” and incorporating religious iconography, all combining to create the bold “Any Chance of a Feek, Love?” collection. This woman’s wear collection is aimed for the customer who is unafraid to be bold and independent in their style. They are devoted to love, loyalty and an unwavering belief within themselves and their abilities. They can be everything, and wear anything from a heavily embellished corset, to a flowing digitally printed dress.
The “Any Chance of a Feek, Love?” collection features haute couture embroidery techniques, learned on internship with the London Embroidery Studio and Hand & Lock London, on contrasting fabrics such as a vivid red velvet, daytime denim, and custom digitally printed fabrics. The textile embellishments employed in these garments offer a range of ancient techniques such as gold work, tambour beading and modern 3-D beading using a variation of beads such as bugle beads, seed beads, sequin, and Swarovski crystals.
