“Walking through the city streets, is it by mistake or by design”
This collection is inspired by the wild vibrant shapes and colour of the city. Cities are very sensual places from the busy streets, the tall buildings, graffiti, the people, the night, feels like organised chaos. The Jumper acting like the large dominant silhouette of architecture with the contrasting pattern of lines and colour in almost graffiti like fashion, each piece has a timeworn feel which brings an edgy, non-conformist avant-garde street style. This collection includes large silhouettes extending the body with the use of overlong sleeves and chunky textural fabrics to layers of lighter knits. The use of deep rural colours of nature like deep teal, jade and apple green has a pleasing conjunction with the sharp bold lines. The use of colour and line portrays a rough geometric feel throughout the collection.
I would like to thank the LSAD staff members and my family and friends for their continuous support throughout my studies.
