Sea Warriors
‘Sea warriors’, is a collection in response to the natural landscape of the sea and its mysterious habitants. The concept is of a fisherman in awe of capturing this alluring mysterious warrior of the sea. She is fierce like the wind, strong like the sea, made up of depths even the ocean couldn’t believe. She smiled at the ocean because the waves told her a story. For she was an ocean- the heart of a warrior and the mind-set of a queen.
Incorporating the fusion of both body and nature to become one. Thorough textiles inspired by the fisherman jumper combined with nets, scales and armor- through the use of natural and man-made materials such as 100% cotton and silk with contrasting metal embellishing. An entwined battle between the landscape and human relationship.
