Leah finds great inspiration in music and visual culture. She loves the 80’s for their style music and silhouettes. This collection was based on Paramore’s most recent album ‘After Laughter’, this album came out in 2017 and embraced the classic 80’s pop sound. It is a light-hearted album that would make you want to get up and dance. Some looks in this collection are dressy, and some are more casual and comfortable. These designs are loose fitted, layered, with bright coloured chunky knits and strong in surface design.
The colours used in this collection are fiery reds and purples combined with a light touch of yellow and white. Red and purple are complimentary shades, purple to calm stability of the fierce energy of red whereby lavender is considered calming and precious to be worn on sensitive days, and red on days where you are feeling confident and want to stand out.
This is dedicated to her mom as the 80’s were her best years. So she says….
