OBSCURE EXULTATION

Primavera, also known as the ‘Allegory of Spring’ by Sandro Botticelli, painted ca.1482 is the primary source of inspiration behind the collection Obscure Exultation.

I focused on the alluring figure Flora, the goddess of flowers within the composition of the painting. The provocative placement of her hands was the starting point into my exploration of the allegory within

the painting. I wanted to use beautiful fabrics; Sandwashed Silk, Patent Pig skin, Satin & Crepe to elegantly narrate the exultation within a woman’s sexuality. The female form dictated the line and shape of the collection, encompassing the intimate movement of a woman exploring her sensuality.
