The Twin Theory
Being a twin isn’t always smooth sailing. Yes, it has its good sides in terms of the closeness and stability of
it, but there were times, especially during the teenage years, when
a feeling of invisibility began due to people not treating twins as separate people. This resulted in a deep-seated anxiety that persists to this day. This shift in emotion provides contrast throughout an A5 sized book, which reflects a personal diary.
From the research and interview findings, a five-part story of emotions was developed that represented an emotion that was felt at a certain age. Each of the five emotions were given their own chapter and visual treatment.
This book is designed to communicate how emotions themselves form an invisible line that connects people. It also showcases how emotions can vary from person to person, especially twins. The misconception with twins is that they are the same person when they are not. This book communicates how twins are separate from the viewpoint society has on them.
