125th is based on the relationship between a mother and daughter in a drug infested area of Harlem in New York City. I focus on the mothers ‘’work’’ life in strong contrast to the innocence of the daughter during her play time. The main concept is to capture a day in the life of this little girl. As the collection evolves we see the dissolution of this innocence and the overwhelming impact of prostitution. Through Provocative print and a laid back silhouette 125th captures the breakdown of a conflicting relationship between mother and daughter.
