Reveal

‘Reveal’ is inspired by the characteristics of the airport. It explores the concept of identity, how individuals conceal and reveal information about themselves on request at different intervals in the airport. What fascinates me most is how at first no one knows who you are but by the time you arrive to your final destination everything about you has been exposed.

My process began with the workings of the bag. This helped me to create three dimensional like pieces. I used deconstructing technique in order to create a built in luggage effect into clothing. Digital X-ray print onto latex highlights the contents of the bag.

The collection fabrics consist mainly of bag like fabrics, such as canvas, cotton drills and water proof wear. Unique and personalised strapping helps to make the garments more durable, practical and functional pieces of casual sportswear.
