‘Nevermind’ is a six piece collection based on the iconic imagery surrounding Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s 1992 wedding in Waikiki, Hawaii. I aimed to bring together through colour, texture and silhouette, the elements of their status as grunge’s royal couple, and hints of childhood dreamscapes seen through their home videos of birthday parties, cakes and celebrations. The collection is compromised of pajama striping fabrics, a combination of denim and deconstructed denim garments, combined with frothy knit and frilled textures to carry through the lighter elements and sorbet hued memories of past celebrations.
