Found Through The Window

In my work I am interested in the different architectural spaces of the urban landscape, with a focus developed particularly in the window openings of the city. I am exploring the role the window plays in these built up areas, in relation to the 21st century and the growth of technology in recent years. The window is no longer the only screen used to gather information in today’s world and I am interested to see now what else the window and the information it displays has to offer. I am developing these different ideas through the use of second hand window frames no longer in use, and through the medium of paint. Using different elements such as the distortion of information through reflective and patterned layers, I am creating paintings in response to the different structures I have found, documented and collected.
