Bismarck Tower
Pawel Falinski’s work explores the concept of national identity. Bismarck tower has been a very important feature within his pieces due to its relationship to Polish history. Using a combination of abstract paint strokes and detail drawing, Pawel develops a landscape scene that is expressing the psychological, political and social environment of 1900’s.
Storytelling, narrative and symbolism have always been important in Pawel’s work and his interest in exploring the meaning of identity, history and myths have fueled his inspiration for his practice.
Throughout the year Pawel’s work has consisted of experiments with drawing, clay sculptures, plaster casts and video.
