My work occupies a space of pure abstraction. Over the years the style has not changed much but the meaning has for a restless and curious spirit.
The works are born out of a keen interest in my environment and are based on an artistic language that needs to be expressed. The roles of pure space plays a vital part in guiding the viewer into the environment where they can feel intuitively satisfied.
My themes tend to have an everyday feel or connection with the world as I have experienced it. Usual things presented in an unusual way or abstract way.
As an artist, my chosen path over the few years is not to depict the world as it appears. The works are made not to look exactly like something else; they are the reality, not the copy. In this reality, pure abstraction dissolves the environment for the person. This creates a new field of awareness for the viewer.
