BA Fashion (with Collection Design)
My inspiration for this collection is drawn from the concept of twins and the unique bond shared between twins. Titled Cúpla, the Irish word for twins, this collection is primarily inspired by my identical twin sister, Shóna, whose presence informed both the visual and conceptual development of my work. The collection explores ideas of duality, connection, and subtle individuality within a shared identity. My aims in this collection involved creating soft, fluid garments that reflect a sense of harmony between two forms. I focused on developing silhouettes that avoid rigid structure, instead opting for flowing shapes that move naturally with the body. This approach allowed me to translate the closeness and ease of twin relationships into the garments. To express visual repetition and connection, I worked with striped suiting, using the linear pattern to reference symmetry and alignment. This was contrasted with chiffon, which introduced lightness and movement, softening the overall appearance of the designs. The combination of these fabrics enabled me to balance structure with fluidity throughout the collection. Developing subtle variation between looks was important in communicating individuality within sameness. While the garments are closely related in form and construction, slight differences in proportion, layering, and detail ensure that each piece maintains its own identity. The collection aims to convey a quiet narrative of connection and distinction, reflecting the nuanced relationship between Shóna and I and the broader experience of being twins.

Remake
This remake project focused on the technical reconstruction of a selected runway look, I chose a look from Haderlump SS ’25. The aim was to accurately interpret the original design through pattern cutting, fabrication, and construction, while maintaining the integrity of the designer’s vision. Through this process, I developed a deeper understanding of garment structure, fit, and detailing, translating a conceptual runway piece into a fully realised, wearable garment.
Alternative project - Split Pace
This alternative project expands on the concept behind my graduate collection, titled ‘Split Pace’, reinterpreting it through a fashion sportswear lens. Focusing on design development rather than construction, I translated the original themes into more functional, contemporary silhouettes influenced by activewear. The project explores how the essence of the collection can evolve across different contexts, maintaining its identity while adapting to a more performance-driven, everyday aesthetic.
