Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth
After I graduate I plan to go on a graduate visa to New York hoping to work in a multi-disciplinary studio to explore the different areas in the design world. Because of this, I design with a range of different styles and formats from Illustration, Typography, Photography and Animation.
An example of my work is this typography project that is based on the book Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth. The approach of the booklet was based on the idea that big corporations are stealing information the public upload to the internet and use it against us for their financial gain. I wanted to capture a sense of the invasion of privacy using type and photography to show that there is very little that these corporations can’t find out about. Keeping with the idea of private information I created a A4 file suggesting that all these corporations have a personal file on each person using it at their disposal.
