What’s your Nationality?

As a designer, I am most interested in photography, videography, and editorial based work. I enjoy working with meaningful subject matters that can be developed into interesting graphic solutions. Subjects I have worked with and enjoyed, include-the issue of transparency within the government, small communities, and environmental problems. I would describe my overall style as experimental with a clean finish.

After graduation, I would like to work in some multi-disciplinary studios in order to be able to examine each speciality in more professional surroundings. Ultimately, I would like to become a creative director in a successful graphic design studio, but for the meantime, I will continue to explore some side projects that interest me.

The ‘What’s your Nationality?’ piece is an experimental spread taken from a project I completed with Dalton Maag based around the book ‘Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth’ written by Buckminster Fuller. The text explores the frivolous fascination that society has with the answer to five distinct questions asked within the text. The illustrative and photographic spreads, stress that these questions are insignificant and irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
