Our Tír
Our Tír is an exploration into our appreciation for our country; Éire. It features two publications, one exploring ‘Ár dTeanga’ (Our Language) and the other, ‘Ár n-Éireannachas’ (Our Irishness).
Our Irishness is something that comes naturally to us, it may even be something you have never thought much about – but it bleeds into every part of our lives, and makes up every inch of who we are. The music, the language, the literature – it all reflects our lives. Irish people are incredibly proud to be Irish. It is one of our most recognisable phrases after all. These publications delve into the Ireland we treasure and value and will always come back to – The Éire in ár gcroíthe. They tell the thoughts of Irish people and what it truly means to us to call ourselves Irish.
The publications also explore the uniqueness of Gaeilge as a language. Its peculiarities, everything that gives it its individuality as the second oldest language in Europe. They discuss the grá the people of Ireland have for Gaeilge, and what we can do to make sure we do not lose this native language that is so precious to us.
