The Third Place: Our Search for Social Spaces is a print publication that explores Ireland’s changing relationship with third places, providing an uplifting commentary on the positives of our new habits, whilst also touching on the nostalgia we hold for our old traditions.
With home and work defined as our first and second spaces, third places are the environments in which we go to in search of connection and recreation. In the past, these spaces were typically pubs. However, the rising price of alcohol and our shift towards more wellness-based activities has meant that we have had to look elsewhere for this sense of escape, community and release.
Give It Another Look is a campaign which aims to get those who may have forgotten about or previously dismissed Depop to give it another look and see what clothing items they can give another look.
The campaign consists of digital out-of-home advertisements and sponsored social media posts, encouraging Gen Z to reconsider Depop as their go-to fashion app. It aims to boost engagement among Depop’s community by encouraging users to post their looks on social media using the hashtag #ANOTHERLOOK’ and interact with the people they have sold items to, to see how their clothes have been given another life.
AONSCÉAL, is an integrated awareness campaign aiming to reignite a love for the Irish language in the young people of Ireland, encouraging them to speak Irish after they complete school and continue to do so into adulthood. Throughout this campaign, emphasis has been placed on speaking the language casually and freely, not to be restricted by fear of the formalities we may have associated with it from school.
Social Media activation for the campaign consists of sponsored Instagram posts to spread the message. These posts feature quotes from the target audience on their struggles with the language and offer solutions. The posts highlight the importance of ‘Connection Not Perfection’.
The campaign continues on the AONSCÉAL app, an online community for those looking to immerse themselves in the language. The app lists Irish language events, from live gigs to picnics in the park and features content from Irish-speaking creators.
