Formula 1: A Timeline Driven by Stories
This project captures the rich history of Formula 1—from its first official season in 1950 to the modern era—through bold and visually engaging editorial design. It celebrates the sport’s evolution by showcasing pivotal moments, legendary drivers, and the transformation of F1 cars and racing culture over the decades.
My design approach draws from the drama and energy of motorsport. I used strong typographic contrasts, vibrant colours inspired by iconic team liveries, and high-impact imagery to reflect the speed and spectacle of F1. The timeline format guides viewers chronologically through the sport’s key eras, with each section spotlighting major milestones—such as breakthrough wins, technological innovations, and defining rivalries. Illustration plays a central role in the project, allowing me to creatively reimagine historical events and iconic cars in a cohesive visual style. The result is a dynamic and unified body of work that invites both F1 fans and design enthusiasts to reflect on how the sport has grown into a global phenomenon.
Presented as a series of editorial spreads, posters, and motion graphics, this project is a tribute to over 70 years of racing history—fast, loud, and ever-evolving.
