Wiser – Empowering Everyday Skills

The Wiser app was designed to fill the gap in life skills that many of us never learned in school. It offers easy-to-follow, step-by-step guidance for essential tasks such as changing a tire, managing finances, and basic nutrition, making everyday challenges more manageable.

With a user-friendly interface, the app focuses on simplicity, using bold icons, clean typography, and clear layouts to ensure accessibility. The lightbulb symbol represents moments of discovery, where users gain valuable knowledge and confidence. Each category, including Home DIY, Car Maintenance, Nutrition, Finance, and First Aid, is carefully crafted to provide actionable steps that guide users toward mastery while fostering a sense of resilience and accomplishment.

Wiser empowers users to tackle tasks with confidence, making learning practical and accessible for everyone.

The Hidden Network of Mycelium is a book exploring the unseen yet essential role of mycelium in supporting ecosystems. It combines scientific insight with creative design to highlight how fungal networks enable communication, nutrient sharing, and resilience in nature.

The book is structured to guide readers from understanding mycelium’s biological function to recognising its broader symbolic and environmental relevance. Chapters within, such as ‘The Wood Wide Web’ and ‘Parallels to Humanity’, draw connections between fungal systems and human society, emphasising cooperation, decentralisation, and sustainability.

Through thoughtful layout, visuals, and tone, I aimed to create an engaging, educational experience that encourages reflection on the invisible networks, natural and human, that sustain life. This project blends design and science communication to raise ecological awareness and appreciation for the complexity of the natural world.
