Every parent gets asked the life changing question if kids should have pets? The answer is yes. When children are introduced to the life of having a pet or pets, it teaches them a sense of responsibility, empathy and helps them develop self-esteem. Having a pet is an amazing gift but because it good for them doesn’t mean they always should. A child should not be given the responsibility of a pet as a present without them being ready and mature enough to take on the responsibility that comes with raising an animal.
Before any child is given a pet, they need to learn how they can take care of an animal and see if they can handle the responsibility.
My Buddy is a kit that aims to help teach children how to care for a new pet, what to expect in every stage of their life, from baby to old and how to handle behaviour and generally keeping their new pet happy and healthy!
