The Way Is Forever Nameless

My work explores the slip steam between opposing states of consciousness

My work explores the landscape that exists in the transition between opposing states of being

My work deals with a state of metamorphosis- The transition between two opposing states of being- the physical and metaphysical. Through engaging in the process of repetitive drawing, I enter, or attempt to enter, a state of being, known in positive psychology as the ‘flow state’.

I deal with the space that exists in-between the physical and metaphysical, night and day, light and dark, waking and sleeping.

My work deals with the state of metamorphosis- The transition between two opposing states of being, be they physical or metaphysical. Through engaging in the process of repetitive drawing, I enter, or attempt to enter, the ‘flow state’- a state of being where the mind is completely absorbed in an activity.

Dreaming represents the darkness in my work- the metaphysical. Waking consciousness is represented by light- the physical

The result – in my case drawing, is a visual description of a state of being that absorbs both mind and body. It is an abstract representation of the joining of the physical and metaphysical
