Inspired by the interaction between mechanical components that create motion, I created cog based drawing machines to explore mechanical pattern from which my 3D forms evolved.
These doubled walled structures explore the formal elements of the vessel, affording the opportunity
to vary the interior and exterior profiles. The
stance of each of these sculptural forms expresses a varying degree of movement. A machine aesthetic is explored through sharp lines and refined surfaces.
