My work is inspired by leaves – how the veins appear to hold the whole shape together, fallen leaves that have dried up and curled into themselves, and their colours in autumn.
The work investigates the process of rotting, the remnants left behind, layering, weathering and erosion. Formal concerns such as the interplay between internal and external space are becoming increasingly important.
