This concept illustrates a dynamic gymnastic design project within the former Cleeves complex in the centre of Limerick City. The location offers an appropriate design context because of the enormous buildings within the complex, which have plenty of space, and the proximity to the River Shannon.
The suggested layout includes a wide range of amenities necessary for gymnastics training. Every feature, which includes a warm welcome area, an exciting training arena, areas specifically designated for coaches, restrooms, and a family space, is carefully designed to meet the various requirements of gymnasts. Recognising these needs—from strength and flexibility to coordination—the design puts practicality first while attempting to create a space that appeals to its target audience, which is children.
The design idea is based on colour psychology, which uses the affective power of various colours to create a lively, fun, and welcoming environment. Given that the structure may be too large for young children to handle, the design makes sure that every space is clearly distinguished by colour, making navigating simple and easy.
