‘Ai, Pageseta’

“Ai, Pageseta,” is photography body of work based on culture and misplacement of
culture. This project involved creating a traditional ‘pagesa’ costume from scratch
with typical fabrics from Mallorca. In the photographs I document the process of
adaptation, superimposition, confusion and overwhelming that the individual,
misplaced and stripped of what he knows, tries to adapt to a new surroundimg.Each
photograph serves as a visual representation of two cultures colliding and mixing.
