Isolation

Isolation is my fourth-year studio project that has developed and changed throughout the year to settle to what it is now. From the initial pitch of a short non-narrative film as a display of my background designs, to a collection of illustrations to showcase my perspective and design skills; Isolation has been an ever-developing project.

The thematic origins of this project have remained throughout its development, however. I was inspired by my frequent journeys on public transport and the effect that the COVID-19 lockdown had on these environments. I wanted to capture the scenery of my journeys, what would catch my eye and what I would find interesting, despite how ordinary some of these things were. Through practicing and learning more about layout, composition and perspective, I aimed to improve my skills and catering my portfolio more towards an industry standard.
