Nature for Anne is a touchstone to memory, it fascinates her psyche that nature can have aspects of un-limitedness and ephemerality. Allowing freedom, peace and redemption to any who seek it, in its vast complexity of living, dying and renewing constantly adapting to what we yield from the earth. Representing our lives in continuous cycles.
Anne uses macro- photography in conjunction with traditional woodblock process to explore the hidden aspects of nature. The materials she uses in her processes are organic resources of the environment, which connects with her exploration of the details in the natural world.
Anne’s aim is to immerse her audience into aspects taken from nature and produce large scale works using a variety of print and photography processes. She would like people to take notice of the spaces we share with the natural world and appreciate its aesthetics and find a joy in its ever-evolving cycles.
