SINNAN
Long ago, the Aos Sí were banished to the other world, a mystic realm of knowledge, art and culture. Sinnan, daughter of two worlds, seeks to lead the people of ancient Ireland to wisdom and inspiration.
Ireland, the island of saints and scholars has long been engulfed in the world of art, music and literature. In ancient Ireland, the Irish connection to art was deeply treasured. Connected to the fair folk and the other world, it acted as a gateway to a parallel world of wisdom art and intrigue.
Filí would flock to thin places, such as Fairy Forts and sacred wells, where the veil between worlds was weakest, to seek inspiration from the forces of the other world. Sinnan’s tale is an ancient one, one of the forgotten mother goddesses of this land.
But through the years her story has been tarnished and misunderstood. ‘Sinnan’ is a truthful account of the original tale. Utilising hand drawn animation and paper like environments, the mythological origin of the River Shannon is unveiled with respect to the woman who breathes life and wisdom into this land.
