Tobi lives in a world where everything is streamlined and automated. A hearty meal can be found in a single pill, and the warm embrace of a parent is found in nursing robots. With every need precisely met, the messy lives and routines of humanity have eroded. This leads to an isolated society, where Tobi’s only tether to human companionship is his ailing grandfather. When this relationship is under threat, Tobi will do anything to save it.

A Taste of Life is a coming of age tale that chronicles the innate bravado of youth and the naive belief of invincibility. Through trial and tribulation our hero’s world comes crashing down around him. It explores just how suddenly this facade of bravery can crash down as quickly as it is put up. Yet it is through this failure that Tobi realises that the lessons we learn in life are oftentimes more valuable than what we set out to achieve.
