520 is and animated portrayal of The Battle of Britain, considered to be one of the most defining moments in history. Thousands of people were affected by this battle, many survived save for the five hundred and twenty who died.

A personal one-sided account of a downed airman, who is clinging to the edge of life. Stranded in a life raft, he travels between memory and lament. While the battle has been portrayed as a victory it remains that it was a great loss of life.

Pictorial realism heightens the narrative tension as the protagonist moves between the real world and his dreams. A blurring of the boundaries between life and death as he experiences the real world turning to the fantastic.

A salute to the fallen and their lost futures for ours.
