Discarded man-made objects, such as cans and bottles, are quickly re-claimed and colonised by nature. This process of re-claiming, re-shaping and adapting occurs without human intervention.
My work explores the crushed aesthetic of these discarded objects while also enabling people to cultivate their own environment with limited intervention. The self-watering system allows these planters to produce a lush supply of herbs and greens with minimal work.
Designed for kitchen and dining spaces, this practical functionality is enhanced by the sculptural qualities of the pieces.
