‘Ghost Light’ is a short film about music, grief, and how we carry on the legacy of those we have lost.

Mourning the loss of her grandmother, a young pianist returns to the theatre she once performed in. Taking to the forgotten stage to play her grandmother’s composition, she fills the auditorium with one last melody.

Music is a deeply important means of creating connection. A song can link us to memories, places, and people that we may have otherwise forgotten. Using colour and texture, the imagery responds to the music and emotions of the film, taking the viewer on a journey alongside the pianist.

‘Ghost Light’ is dedicated to those who carry on the legacies of their loved ones through their art.
