The story of ‘Birdtown’ follows a grumpy bird, who through a fateful chance encounter, is offered an opportunity see the world anew. An old friend provides encouragement to finally leave their nest, spread their wings, and fly back home. Sceptical that Birdtown would remain the same as it ever was, they begrudgingly fly the nest. On taking their first steps into fresh air, they find the journey ahead may be more than just a simple flight home.

‘Birdtown’ investigates the consequences of remaining in one place too long. It portrays the world as an ever-changing place and warns against the blissful ignorance of being a home bird. If you are willing to take the first step, make changes to your life you can become as free as a bird.
