What’s the Big Hoo-ha?
What’s the Big Hoo-Ha? is an educational campaign designed to challenge menstrual stigma and combat menstrual invisibility by encouraging open, honest conversations about periods. It provides accessible, reliable information to support first-time menstruators aged 12 and above, helping them feel informed and confident as they navigate this experience. While this group is the primary audience, the campaign also targets parents and teachers as responsible adults who lend credibility and guidance, alongside peers and the wider public, particularly those with limited knowledge, to promote a more informed, empathetic, and supportive understanding of menstruation. Through a range of touch points, the campaign aims to spark dialogue, debunk myths, and normalise menstruation as a natural part of everyday life, ultimately fostering greater awareness, acceptance, and openness around menstruation.
