INTERIM welcomes the term ‘the dark’ in both the literal and figurative sense, through abstract, ominous forms considering what that phrase may hold for each one of us, or even possibly what it may not. Investigating a world in between what we know and the unknown, a vast expanse filled with great uncertainty for a future seemingly unpredictable. A stagnant space bordered between the mundane, a space where we can’t be sure what can’t exist.

The project and exhibition aim to question how we capture ‘the dark’, this thing that many fear and some survive, how can we convey and even further explore this, what does this look like or what should it look like?

Through intricate printmaking techniques, sculptural forms and sound,  INTERIM is visualised as an isolating and unidentified place, where the real and the imaginary blend what we understand as separate into one. A liminal space with a sense of uncertainty and ambiguity, this flux of absence and presence that brings us more questions than answers. Allowing us to encounter a space without defining, nor affirming, nor denying anything, but instead inviting curiosity.
