My work, which includes photography, sculpture, video, and painting, explores the possibility that discarded objects represent memories, the things we have left behind that were once useful to us. My photographs of discarded objects capture the objects travel in time and space, as in its past states and its present, and its consequential representation of memories together with new memories that may attach. Thus, such discarded objects, in a way, travel in time and space. In time I will probably discard these, which may be rediscovered by others who may attach a new set of meaningful memories. Being unaware of discarded objects past attached memories, some believe that objects retain such memories as in the stone tape theory and as manifest in haunting. As human beings seek to accompany and share our contexts, my work contributes by merging the human body with objects in various representations in my work.
