Elizabeth’s work consists of looking at what is not to be seen. The private time which one will experience in their spare time. The viewer is there to observe the content in the painting to reveal the harmful nature of a society without privacy. The content of the painting is not being watched until the viewer/audience is there, making the viewer part of the painting. The use of pink throughout Elizabeth’s work is also to symbolise what we believe is perfection when viewing an image when what is to be seen is a toxic example of the human instinct to know more than we need to.
