My studio practice is an exploration of my son Leon’s perception of
the world and how he thinks. His experiences of the world are affected by conditions relating to his intellect. How he thinks and sees the world is unique to him and I have begun
an exploration of how he views the world. My work tries to emulate his perspective through photography and video and appropriation of imagery and information that he sources online.

He almost constantly seeks information and has an ability to remember what he has gleaned. He is quite rigid in his thinking but seeing another’s point of view can be difficult for him to comprehend. However through my video pieces I hope to have given the viewer an insight into his wonderful and unique self.

It is my intention to offer the viewer an understanding about others like Leon.
