The Gift
Like any typical dog, Tina loves her guardian and she misses him whenever he’s away. She listens by the window for the sound of his car driving down the road, the soft crunching of his footsteps in the snow, and his keys unlocking the door to their home. But this time, her guardian is not the only one stepping into the house.
It’s the season of giving and Pierre has brought home an unexpected surprise for Tina – a new animal companion. The crate is dark inside and there is a strange smell within. Tina freezes out of fear when the crate begins to shake, like whatever is inside is dying to come out. What is it? What does it want? In his excitement to reveal the surprise, Pierre goes to unlock the crate. Tina immediately bursts into a sprint, wanting to outrun the strange visitor. Unfortunately for Tina, there is nowhere to hide.
