Sol Intra Me
Sol Intra Me is a body of work which explores the concept of the sun and its effects on mental health. The collection examines the star as both a mythological concept and also a tangible object which affects people’s mental health daily. Through the work I am exploring and sharing my own experiences with seasonal affective disorder.
To create the work, I combined traditional printmaking techniques with my own illustrative graphic practice. The work combines influences from all eras of the history of graphic and illustrative art to create a series which explores my relationship with the sun , my mental health, and the link between the two.
