This collection was created as a heartfelt tribute to my mother—a woman whose constant, graceful presence has shaped my life in profound ways. Throughout the emotional journey of motherhood, she has carried herself with resilience, warmth, and love, navigating both the luminous highs and the inevitable lows with unwavering strength. Her story, filled with tenderness and quiet endurance, became the emotional foundation upon which this collection was built.

I have long been fascinated by the natural world, especially by its ability to be both wild and harmonious—raw yet stunningly beautiful. During my time living in London, I often found solace and inspiration in Kew Gardens. The vast array of flora, the meticulous landscaping, and the quiet moments found among the trees sparked a deep creative response in me. To me, Kew Gardens became more than just a physical place—it was a metaphor for growth, complexity, and serenity. It was there that the seeds of this collection began to take root.

Sustainability was an important factor in my collection, as nature is a major source of inspiration for me. I knitted all my garments, making them zero-waste pieces, and sourced my yarn from deadstock suppliers to reduce environmental impact

Another important conceptual thread I explored is the East Asian legend of the red thread of fate. This theory suggests that an invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break. In many ways, this idea mirrored my understanding of life and connection—especially the enduring bond between a mother and child. Even when life diverges or becomes chaotic, there remains a guiding force that leads you back to where you are meant to be.

In bringing all of these elements together—the strength and love of my mother, the transformative power of nature, and the philosophical resonance of the red thread—I came to realize that my mother is the heart of this collection. She is the constant in the chaos, the quiet force beneath every design decision. Kew Gardens, in all its serene beauty and organic imperfection, became a physical manifestation of the red thread: a symbol of how life can be simultaneously breathtaking and unpredictable, graceful and wild.

Ultimately, this collection is not just a celebration of aesthetics but a meditation on connection, resilience, and the beauty that emerges from both love and struggle.

This jumper draws inspiration from the visionary work of Irish designer John Rocha. His deep connection to organic forms and natural textures stirred my own creative instincts, shaping this piece into a tribute to his timeless aesthetic.
