Tis Flockin Lashin

Tis Flockin Lashin is an original story set in Ireland, but not the Ireland we know. The land is dry and desolate during a drought. We follow a flock of sheep, suffering from the intense heat. They discover a lush green valley, an oasis in the bleak landscape. Overjoyed the sheep take advantage of the haven. Unknowingly, the sheep awaken an ancient deity.

Shíon is a sky God down on his luck. He is desperate to provide for his followers, no matter the cost. Shíon created a sanctuary to act as a trap to lure in unsuspecting sheep. He steels his captives’ wool and uses it to make rain clouds.

This light-hearted short was created using a hybrid approach. The backgrounds are a physical 3D model that represents Ireland. The real hills and fields that form the backdrop of a myriad of Irish myths and legends that inspired this story. The characters are digitally animated, other worldly or ethereal contrasting to the tangible environment.
