O’Leary’s project, ‘The After the Physicals’, is an interruption in cognitive process by the dimly understood, ill-defined, highly contrasted poles of knowing and being. Drawing images and objects into the charged field between thought and sensation.

Processed naturally occurring materials, drawings, paintings and photographs are curated into a running narrative between man and the naturally occurring world. The act of constructing and manipulating materials is taken as an axiom of human existence. Considered and intuitive modes of work are employed in the curating and assembling of works to construct a further understanding of artist as creator.
